And wrote a blog post about that and Bree's article in the Stranger. So you know, pretty cool... Not like Bree forgot about the time difference between New Brunswick where she is on tour and where I was asleep in Seattle and called me 2 times in a row before it woke me up and then we freaked out together or anything. Stereogum has got Triumph's West Coast dates (many with The Cave Singers) and another MP3 download! It also has my favorite description of their sound that I've heard yet.

03/11 – Big Sur, CA @ Fernwood w/ Cave Singers
03/12 – Visalia, CA @ Cellar Doorw/ Cave Singers

There are around 40 hand-screened copies of this poster that will be waiting for you at the show! Poster by GHLF.
Holy shit, check this out. Triumph Of Lethargy made a video mixtape for Magnet Magazine and it's a killer.

Tacocat's bff band Forever (pdx) reunited, at last! Also, Tim Betterly and Sharlese Metcalf will be spinning hits all night, there is no way you could lose.
C.M. Ruiz made another beautiful poster:

If you missed it live (like I did) you can listen to it here! I highly recommend checking it out, dudes.

And the review is totally coooooooool.

Check out Clyde's sweet project and then give it (the project) money!
Clyde Petersen made that sweet Triumph video, he is Your Heart Breaks, he plays a small scale bass in Cold Lake that makes him look like a giant from some angles, he manages Earth... I think I covered everything? The big stuff anyway.
Check it!
Clyde Petersen (aka Your Heart Breaks) made it! Check it out--

I'm stoked because the dude who writes Haunting The Chapel for Stereogum wrote the review.
Check out the work of Ashleigh Rauen as Gift Horse. She did the handlettering and drawings for the Triumph of Lethargy record.

Some of Us Are in This Together hits stores on January 18th and we are getting super psyched! It seems that we aren't the only ones who are anticipating this record. For us, it's like "YESSS!!! No more shrink wrapping hundreds of LPs and CDs!" BTW: They look real pretty and sound even better!
Hopefully for you it's like "Oh my god this is gonna rule! I can't wait to buy this as soon as it hits the stores!" For now, feel free to follow this link for a free download of The Dirty Street.

Or check out the interview : Triumph of Lethargy is Not for Listeners. It's for the People Playing the Music.

Pony Time plans on a European tour at the end of April! Luke will also be doubling up on part of the tour as guitar player for his British garage band, the Armitage Shanks. Exact dates will be posted soon!

Lisa Orth is a genius/artist/DJ/TLA frontlady who totally designed the cover to Nirvana's "Bleach"... and now she is the official tattoo artist for DSBR!!! Come to think of it, she's inked up practically every lady on the label. And plus the dude in Tacocat. Check out some of her work:
Lisa tattooed Michelle from TLA!
Lisa tattooed the adorable dinosaur from the least popular 80's Ramones album cover onto Lelah Tacocat!
Lisa tattooed this delicious Cheeseburger onto Alice TLA's forearm!
Lisa tattooed this art from a Soviet Union cigarette box onto DSBR Chairman Megan Birdsall!
Lisa tattooed the intense double rainbows onto Bree Tacocat and Emily Coyote!
Holy fucking shit! Why wouldn't you want a tattoo from her? You would have to be out of your mind not to. Book an appointment with Lisa by visiting http://www.lisaorth.com

Tender Validations Mix of the Month Club is totally awesome, and you should join! They have a Facebook page that you should "like", and a blog that is updated frequently with really cool things!
There is a new assignment every 2 months. Anyone can send in a mix on a CD or a cassette tape. This month's assignment is:
When there's nothing else to talk about, the weather becomes real popular. People have had many an awkward conversation about it. There are reports about it. There are alerts about it. There are entire websites dedicated to it. And there are a zillion songs about it.
Make a mix of songs about the weather.
NO WEATHER GIRLS ALLOWED
Please don't forget to make beautiful cover art, include a track list, and send $3 with your mix. For some inspirational examples of cover art, go here.
Objective:
♥ Share music, make art, and keep post alive.♥
How it works:
Following the assignment and the rules, make a mix and submit it by the deadline. The submissions will be made into a compilation, mixed and matched to other Tender Validators, and mailed out the following week. Participants receive an anonymous mix, a compilation, and other various tender validations. Be sure to include (on a separate sheet of paper) the mailing address you’d like your mix to be sent.

The Pony Time show at Funhouse this past week was recommended on the Three Imaginary Girls Blog! Check it out!
Recently, M.I. Birdsall was interviewed by Tender Validations, a music mix club based out of Seattle. Written in the style of Choose Your Own Adventure books, the interview will tell you little to nothing about Birdsall, but will captivate you with its witty style and creative genius.
Tender Validations | Choose Your Own Adventure Interview!
All DSBR buddy bands! No duds! Go to this show, you cant possibly be doing anything cooler, plus it's a birthday party for Brennen from Bad Friends!

This is a snazzy video those dudes made a while ago.
Chris Byrne, who rumor has it lives in the trailer next to the Spruce House (home to DSBR's very own Bree and Lelah TacocaT), is the new A Million Years Ago Drummer! Seth Syberg the previous drummer is now shredding on guitar. You will notice Chris in the picture as the one wearing shorts. On a side note, Megan loves drummers who wear shorts, did this have anything to do with AMYA's decision to add Chris to the team? I wouldn't say it didn't.

Check out this hard hitting interview with Pony Time in the Tender Validations Mix of the Month Club Blog, and while yr at it, join the the club and check out the sweet BUTTS interview.

Today I did an interview for a feature about the label in next weeks Stranger, during which I announced I could listen to American Beauty 100 times in a row. I bet that's the part that ends up larger and in bold.
Lastly, Scottie and I are attempting to watch all 9 seasons of the x-Files before he leaves on tour for a month. My earlier calculations determined we would need to watch approximately 11 hours a day. We're really behind. --Megan
